Yes, I am very new to these pins, new to owning any pin actually. I am just searchig for info and came across this forum.
The other day i was driving by a house that had, what looked to be, a cocktail game in their front lawn. I do own a few arcade video games, one of them being a cocktail table game so I immediately stopped to see if that's what it was.
Nope, it was a cocktail pinball machine. Never saw one!  I have been wanting to get a Pin to fool around with so i grabbed it (freebie).
I turn it on and some lights flash and it says what i believe to be the full name of the game "8 ball deluxe". The playfield is pretty bad i think. I haven't really got into looking at it yet. I was hoping to find some info on it first. I know the contacts and all that will need a thorough cleaning, but i like to have info on hand before i dive into things...like what is available for parts if needed and anything else really.

I haven't come across anything with this title yet. Is it perhaps under another name?

Okay, so i got a chance to pull the top off and clean up a little and uncovered the "Star Trip" copyright in the lower right side. This is definitely not a Star Trip as it has  a billiards theme all over it.
I notice the Family Fun and Star Trip are the same but both have their own copyright title. Whereas this one has a star trip copyright but is 8 ball deluxe?   anyone got some light to shine my way?

I've never heard of an Eight Ball Deluxe made by GP. You say it still has the StarTrip copyright on it? Could someone have altered it? Strange.

Post some pics so we can see it.

It may have been altered, I am unsure on that.
If it has...it was professionally done. I got to the insides and it has 10 times as much seed casings in there than the top did.  I need to really give it a good cleaning. Anyway, I couldn't get much off the boards other than they are stamped Bally.
Here is the link to the pics.
let me know what y'all think.
I don't plan on firing it up until i get it cleaned out.

UPDATE:
Apparantley it has been altered. It appears that it is a Bally 8 Ball Deluxe in a gameplan cocktail. Who and why is a good question. It looks like it took an awfull lot of time and effort to get this thing together. Some of the playfield looks to be done with marker and some with some sort of paint. It looks really good though i must say. Whether it was done at home as a hobby or professionaly i have no idea. Either way... With all that work into it, It's hard to believe someone would just throw it out to the trash. I'm guessing they are not the original owners.

DAG!!!   i forgot to get the pics of the inside.....will do soon.

sorry guys...shortly(like days) after posting here I received an offer for the game of $400 as is. A guy from NY bought it. He must have cleaned it up a bit and sold it to "I THINK" todd tuckey in PA if i am not mistaken who then sold it on ebay for around $1000 or so.

I do have pics somewhere but at the moment cannot find them, i'll keep looking.
I guess it was brought to a show somewhere because I saw postings thanking TOdd(if that's who it was) for bringing it there to show.

Hey Ray!! just realized who you were, lol......, i should have realized it was you that revived a  1.5+ year old post. I thought it strange that after the discussion in the other forum that all of a sudden i get a response here. I'm a little slow i guess. I'm looking for them. I don't delete things so I must have it on one of my backup discs.
