small little metal filter box with V shape things burned out on SharpShooter

I just bought a 1979 Sharp Shooter Pinball machine. It worked for 10 minutes and then stopped after about 6 balls. I located a burned out power filer with some kind of funny "upsidedown "V" shaped fuse type thingy's and one of the copper coil things got hot and started to smoke. I bought it anyway, but for half the price. So I paid $200 and am hoping this can be resolved
PLEASE HELP!

A fuse blew?
Which solenoid burned up?
Sounds like one of the TIP transistors on the SDU board got stuck on and that would short out the solenoid.

I cut that coil. Since then, I've tested the power supply to the motherboard MPU-2 and the voltage was all good. Someone suggested the mpu is bad (due to leaking battery) as the AC line filter also smoked and that person thought the mother board caused the SDU to stick one of the coils on, hence burning it out.
Your thoughts? I will open up the SDU box and check, but even so, it still never boots up to Game mode.
