So I recently shopped out my Cyclopes and now that it is back together it has decided not to work.  sad

When you power up the game, the MPU board's LED blinks the normal 6 times, the sound board fires off that 'stair step' sound but then it kicks out a ball into the shooter lane. The game also has no issues with the light show and flashes everything like normal.

However the game refuses to start. It also refuses to go into any diagnostics mode. It's like the start button or the buttons within the door even work. Yet, the coin mech and slam-tilt switches work fine.

I have checked the continuity from the switches all the way up to the MPU board and everything seems fine. The MPU board has NO acid damage and the traces all look good. I've checked, re-checked and checked a third time every connector. Additionally, I've switched out the MPU with another MPU from another Cyclopes and it too has the same issues.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you do anything with connectors? Unplug and replug anything. Sometimes the connectors between the head and body can be funky.

Yeah, I've done them all several times. I've even tested both sides of it to make sure there was a connection.

I'm going to change the Filter Cap tomorrow, because it's about the only thing I haven't tried yet.

Welp, Filter cap didn't do any good.

I wonder if I should try shorting the switch at the board instead?
