Finding the Serial on a Sharpshooter machine?

I submitted what I thought was the correct serial to the Pinball Serial DB last night...but they are saying what I submitted is not in the proper format for Game Plan machines...I took the number that was engraved in the wood on the playfield, assuming that this was indeed the serial.  Is this not the case, please let me know where I might find the proper Serial for this particular game.

Try looking on the left side top of the head near the lock. There should be a metal plate with all the info on the machine.
