Good question. I don't really know why no one posts on here. The only other GP board is at epinball.com and hardly anyone posts there either. Where are all the GamePlan owners?

Another good question.
I see the odd GamePlan item on RGP but thats about it.
Maybe owning a GamePlan pin is not cool enough yet, you know like owning a Volvo in the 80's
Don't let it get you down, I'm sure things will pick up.

Ok,
I say something. I just bought a pair of GamePlan cocktail pins. Both are "Star Trip" machines. Both need shopping. Any suggestions or gotcha's you all know of? As like Volvos, cocktail pins seem to be an underclass. Agree?

I can't think of any thing specific to cocktails that doesn't apply to full size machines. I personally love the cocktails and would like to get another one someday. Simply because they take up so much less space. Plus, they are pretty rare.
I had my Vegas machine gassed once because it had termites. I took it down to a place that gasses furniture to rid the pests. It was the only way to get rid of them and save the machine.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

Yea, I love the cocktails for the same reason. I've got two Eros One, two Star Trips and one Night Moves. Non have termites (that I've found yet) but all smell like my grandmothers basement. I was thinking of spraying the inside with a mild bleach solution. After removing the guts. What do you think?
Hey, while I here, anyone every try and flatten warped plastics? How did you do it?

I flattened the black display piece on a Vegas cocktail buy putting it on a flat cookie sheet and baking it in the oven face up. It wasn't perfect when I was done, but it was 10x better than when it started. I can't remember the heat and time. 100-150 degrees maybe. I checked it every 30 seconds.
Be extremely careful doing this as you could ruin it. Do so at your own risk, too!

Sometimes just a light sanding will do the trick.
You can also seal it with varnish to prevent future problems if you really want to go all out.

Varnish! ooooh yea...that good! Do you think the mildew should be killed first though?
Thanks,
Mike

Sorry mike,
How much mildew are we talking about here that sanding will not eliminate it?
Is the mildew still active?
Is the wood damp?
...not a flame, just asking...

Mike,
I checked into this further and found this information, hope it helps.

I guess I've been fortunate not to have had severe mildew problems.
I have one pin which had a mildew odour in the cabinet when I got it.
I just aired out the game for a few weeks and did a light sanding, things were O.K after that.

Hey goodicksa, no problem and Thanks for the help.
The wood is dry, the machine is old, and I was thinking since the particle board is so pourous, that just a sanding might not be enough. Don't know though. Just a musty smell is present now, no visible mold. I was thinking a light spray of watered down bleach solution, long dry time, then a varnish job.
I'll check out your links tomorrow (midnight here now)
Thanks again!

The issue with Gameplan machines are that they were only produced a few years and most collectors never played them. Most machines after a few years were inoperable and ended up in the back of operators warehouses but to battery corrosion. I currently have 16 Gmaeplan machine set up and when people(collectors) come over they have never heard of Gameplan. On the Musty smell, spray it with a light coat of fabreeze let dry and repeat a few times.
